Just caught up in DVR and Flaherty beating Tucker to finish the 7th was also very nice.

One of the differences between the Driveline student of the week and a Jack Flaherty in that kind of spot is that Flaherty I think has more belief he's as good as the guy he's competing with.

My negative statement was that he was going to get hit from being too tired to get it done for a 2nd inning after pitching 78ish pitches 3 days ago, and knowing how over extending Lopez cost us some runs.

I'm glad he proved me wrong on that.

Felt like he labored a bit but he got through it.  Looks like they're sending him back out for a 3rd?

I'm hoping Flaherty has found his niche. The bullpen could use a RHP who is capable of being stretched out over 2 to 3 innings. Flaherty has a good arm it's just his control and his tendency to go off the rails as soon as a runner gets on base. 

He's done good against a tough lineup tonight and pitching out a of a jam.
