Who has even suggested that anywhere? Way too early to draw those conclusions and I'm positive the Orioles don't see that or they would not have taken him in the 1st round.

Nobody's suggesting it. I'm pointing out that they absolutely must project more power from his bat. There's no other possibility.

To the extent the org revolves around Adley, it tilts me to the Oregon State Steven Kwan comparison too.

The 2.0% swinging strike rate thing really was nuts - here are All Affiliated Minors with 100 PA (more than 2500 guys), Bradfield was #1.

Arraez, Kwan, Bregman, Myles Straw were the MLB leaders among 2023's qualified Bats at lowest SwStr%, with Adley #7.     Myles Straw I think is probably the most generic floor for this kind of profile in MLB currently.      He's gotten about 575 PA/year the last few seasons despite a 77 career OPS+.

Lofton had a career .124, and had double digit homers 7 times.   Butler had an .086 ISO, and was never in double digits for homers.  He did have double digits in triples 5 times though.  I’d be thrilled with either outcome (68.4 rWAR for Lofton, 49.8 for Butler) but I’m pessimistic that Bradfield will have as much pop as Lofton.  

Considering that Lofton should be in the Hall, I sure would be happy with that outcome.

If he can lay down a bunt and not make bone headed baserunning plays, he'll be ahead of Mateo

Mateo made a few mistakes, but I wouldn’t say he makes an excessive number of boneheaded baserunning plays.  I will grant you the point about his bunting.

SSS and all that, but Bradfield's A ball stats are very close to those of 21 year old Kevin Kiermaier when he was on Tampa's A-ball team. I'd be very happy with that kind of career for Bradfield.

If Bradfield can torment other AL East teams the way he’s tormented the Orioles over his career, I’d take that for sure.

I’m excited for Bradford but we don’t necessarily need him to develop into a #1/#2 type hitter. Obviously, that is ideal. With the projected future of our offense him turning into a GG CF that bats #7-#9 is really good. Sort of like what Jackie Bradley gave Boston. Heck, even Mullins was hitting 6th a lot last year. However, that was after his injury.
