Yea, you strike me as the type that is familiar with early 50's Sci-Fi.

Or any book without pictures.

I didn’t know that was a type.    I think that’s pretty much anyone born when I was.

I don't think you stick a guy on the IL for "a little more sore than normal".

They could just be looking for a reason to curtail his usage.  Hopefully that's all it is.

Like others, I'm kind of wondering if this is real, or if they made him step in Ubaldo's Pothole for roster management purposes without burning his last option.  He'd have to miss a start or two, but maybe they don't mind right now with the returning starting pitchers.

Plus he's only going to throw so many innings this year, may as well trim them early on than at the end I suppose.

Huxley and Wells.   Is this 20 questions?

Oh, Huxley and Wells are miles away from what I was talking about.  They have more in common with Shelly and Verne.

I'm talking about the Americans churning out work in Astounding Stories trying to make rent.

But the other stuff is aces as well, just a different flavor to it.

Too much information.  😄

Probably right.  I have no idea how much room they could find in the Stadium.  Probably they could install one in the Warehouse.

My musings were totally the thoughts of a total amateur with no idea of what the logistics of this would be.

Also I think an MRI machine is like a half million or something.  I could be very wrong however.

Interesting to hear that idea come up. I threw it out half jokingly a few weeks ago in a thread that referred to research that had suggested that platelet therapy might enable damaged elbows to recover stronger than new if applied just as tears were beginning to form.

Half a million plus upkeep and operating costs may sound like a lot of money but we’ve paid useless infielders far more than that.

There have to be a dozen reasons why it’s probably a dumb idea, but you weren’t alone in having it.

For some reason this made me think of that scene in Back to The Future where Marty (in 1955) sees a Sci-Fi magazine and tries to convince his (teenaged) mother he was an alien. LOL

Or maybe that was his Father? My memory is fuzzy.

Grayson's already missed time due to injury.  Remember 2022?

Who knows how much time he'll miss between now and free agency.

It's a bad data point to have on his resume.  It doesn't help him in any way and could potentially hurt him.

Why should he agree to that for no gain?

Would you let your employer do whatever the equivalent would be to you?

The arbitration stuff is just silly speculation about how a team could use his generosity against him and once again the IL trip would be a data point and not the whole argument.

So my employer comes to me and says take two weeks off because it’s good for the company?  Yeah, I would take one for the team.

This is a crazy idea, but a team w/ a ton of money could look into whether it would help to give it to healthy pitchers after the season.  I believe Kobe had PRP multiple times with all his injuries.
