By the way, when they put in the robo umps, I also want them to also amend the rule book to say that no home plate umpire may ever call a check swing strike again until the heat death of the universe.

BTW, I think it’s kind of fun to read the sky is falling folks. Sometimes they are right, though way over the top. Other times, they’re just silly.

Reading those posts is half the fun.

A life time of sober, reflection and calm disputation, of, “come, let us reason together,” can get boring.

Who doesn’t love the chance to scream,”who is it that darkens counsel with words without wisdom?”

lol

This team is still good. But it’s not sustainable to allow a couple dozen runs in a week by the bullpen. Every game since the 17th, the bullpen has allowed 1 or more runs.

How about no teams panic in May and start shuffling the roster around? It doesn't happen. They will be in it until the end of the season and they will try to fix what needs fixing. It doesn't need to be on May 25th, that's nearly unprecedented.

We all move to 4 games out after the Yankees win again tonight...we will never catch them this season..

Luckily there is a wild card.  The Rangers and D Backs didn't win their divisions either and met in the World Series.

This is kind of right. If this were a rational place there wouldn't even be game threads, we would just get together once a month once enough of a data sample was collected.

A whole lot of good winning the division did for any team last year. Not a single one got to the World Series.

Even with all the negativity with this team right now, knowing this in the back of my mind gives me some sense of calm.

Tate looks great today.

I think a chunk of our offense problem is our TOTAL inability to put something together early, put the pressure on opposing pitchers, get their pitch count up...we dont do that...we cant draw many walks..and cant move runners...and rely far too much on the HR...THIS TEAM IS JUST AWFUL IN EVERY GAME innings 1-4.

Sure, that's why I ignore the people who bring the same energy to every post in every thread on the board. There are plenty of Chicken Little's in the game thread that I laugh while reading their posts.

Mullins acts like he doesn't want to play baseball anymore. His body language this entire season has looked like he's disinterested.

He’s always looked rather dour to me, in all honesty
