I only trust him in comparisons to everyone else in the bullpen.  Seriously, there is little to no one in the bullpen that I feel confident that runs won't be scored when they come into the game.  I'd take Smith over Kimbrell, Soto, Perez and Akin.  And Cano is getting close there too.  Seranthony has been a nice pickup over all, but the rest is bad.  It'll be a better when/if Webb and Coulombe get back, but even then we have too much dead weight in the bullpen IMO.

Maybe time to move Cowser out of the leadoff spot.  It seems like he strikes out 80% of the time lately.

You consider it for sure. By the time GRod gets back, there won’t be much season left. Suarez’s role in October is probably reliever. Maybe he starts a game 4 but i think his stuff likely plays up better out of the pen than Kremer or Rogers.
