The O’s had their offensive chances. Now that they’re behind, they’ll continue pressing and come up empty the rest of the way. This team just doesn’t have the mental ability like last years team to be able to put the score behind them and focus on fundamentals.

This says everything:

Montero has only thrown 63 pitches through 5. A lot of contact and baserunners, but when it matters the O’s aren’t making good contact.

4 measly runs in 23 innings against the Tigers. 2 openers, a guy with a near 5 ERA and Skubal didn’t even pitch. 
 

That’s how awful this offense is.

You have too.  Because even with the injuries to the line up they should not be this bad for this long.

Povich has been so, so good. This team just continues to waste good pitching.

Povich has pitched well...he made ONE mistake, but we havent picked him up at all...with a decent offense I'd take Povich's outing any day...we cannot score because we can't hit.
