Matusz goes 7 innings, and you still burn through 5 bullpen guys.

This loss isn't going to be on DT because he put his closer in and he should have gotten the job done, but 5 guys in 2 innings is absolutely unacceptable.

I can't believe that after all those awfuls splitters, he decided to throw another one on 0-2 to a hitter that we've thrown fastballs by all freaking night. That was an awful decision. I'd love to know if Wieters called that or not. Did Simon have to shake off to get that pitch?

And the first two pitches were good FBs in a good spot (low inside).

How can you not go up and outside with a FB? Or try to get him to chase a slider?
