13 month appears to be the shortest recovery. Simon is an outlier.

With as much money as they have invested, no way that he pitches in the 2011 year.

Last night Jordan Zimmermann made his first MLB start since July 18, 2009 after having TJ surgery. Everyone is different, but Strasburg may be able to make it back by September of next year. I bet they play it safe though.

On the bright side, its a good time for him to need TJ surgery. The Nats are not going to pay him a bunch to rehab next year and the Nats would not be in contention next season with or without him.

Much better TJ then cuff issues or a labrum tear.
