Our man Weams was there to record the interview that Brooks and Jim gave to the press. The occasion was the induction of Jim Palmer into the Babe Ruth Museum HOF. Palmer was quite loquacious as usual, but you do get to hear Brooks from time-to-time. They touched on the Duquette situation as well as Manfred's proposed changes to the game. My favorite so far is from (Part II) Brooks talking about signing his first Orioles contract. He went to the commissioners office and they had him swear under oath about his signing bonus. "Did you get more than $4,000? I said, "no I didn't, which I didn't." "I don't know what my dad got."
