Palmer was quite loquacious as usual, but you do get to hear Brooks from time-to-time.:D

I was fortunate enough to attend the event with my father. (a friend's employer was a sponsor for the event) So in addition to having a pretty good seat near the stage, we were able to get a group photo with Jim and Brooks. Both guys went out of their way to shake hands, sign a few things for folks and were just unbelievably gracious with everyone.

It was truly an unforgettable experience. Sharing with my father made it even more special.

Brooks looks the picture of health now that he's put those two setbacks (the fall and the cancer) behind him. He looked so frail in '12 at the statue's unveiling at The Yard. Does my heart good to see him feeling better.

Speaking of pictures, look what our daughter brought home from school today. Her principal knew from the O's gear that she and her younger sister wear to school that that I'm a big O's fan. I couldn't have been more pleased to see this pulled out of her backpack today.
