Seems a bit pricey for a guy who gave up more hits than IP, had only a 1/2 K per IP, had close to a 1:1 K:BB ratio and gave up close to a .270 BAA.

With those 38 saves he is definitely an overachiever, I guess they thought that was their best option with Zumaya down for some time. Hard to believe $7 million but I guess it cost more to do a one year deal and no way they could give him a multi-year contract.

Julio surprises me and he doesn't. If he was still on this team, he'd be top of our line for setup or closer, and we'd be damn glad we still had him.

Kerry Wood is interesting, but maybe expensive, and definitely still a risk, even just out of the pen.
