Yes...but much like the shot heard round the world, the immaculate reception, and Fisk's walk-off homer in the '75 WS...it meant nothing shortly thereafter.

I give the Orioles' offense a lot of credit for making Floyd throw a lot of pitches, which gave Hammel good rests in between innings, too.

Sorry, but that just isn't true. Unless you think that the '79 Orioles also meant nothing, you may want to re-think this statement.
