Eh. I was actually pretty impressed with his take on both 3-1 and 3-2. Deduno threw 3 good pitches. It happens.

I don't think anyone in the dugout was telling him that. I guess you meant 3-0 and 3-1 since he didn't take on 3-2. The 3-1 pitch was fat as hell and the 3-2 pitch caught plenty of the plate.

Yuck on the first batter, but nice DP to follow up.
