I am amazed. This is no longer a protest but a lawless riot. The police are overwhelmed and on their heels.

Where is the National Guard? Where is the leadership?

I would love to sit back tonight and watch an Orioles game, but asking families to go downtown tonight and enjoy some baseball is crazy. The game needs to be called.

John Angelos speaks and defends protestors:

I never thought I would ever agree with an Angelos...some wise words spoken here. Some far left-leaning economic viewpoints, but not something that is terribly inaccurate.

The protests were largely peaceful before things broke out with younger, more violent youth grabbing the headline. I repeat, most of these protests during the day were peaceful.

We all value the job the police do. We all have friends that are officers. I have some very close friends that are officers. That doesn't mean things can't and shouldn't improve. Petty crime and drug addiction doesn't justify death here or anywhere in this country. At the same time, the police have a very dangerous job to do and must not be the targets.

Cameras on officers not only protect the people, but the officers and department from unjustified lawsuits.

Things will improve, they must.

Very well said.

F those people who are making a civilized and reasoned message look like a criminal action.

We can talk about the issues of public safety or the likelihood of the game being played here. We will not discuss this unfortunate issue on this website. Please abide by my requests while they are requests.

I apologize if my comment crossed the line. You're correct. This is a baseball forum, not exactly the place to discuss this.
