He probably feels more comfortable with it? It's not like he's never had success with it. I don't know if something about the new delivery bothers him physically, etc.

Just saying the narrative of him being a great teammate who is really trying doesn't mesh with things like him reverting to his old delivery and leaving the team to go home when he was left off the playoff roster.

Sorry, look at his ERA. Went up every single year he was an Oriole. They obviously kept him as long as they did knowing he had the stuff, but what indication was there he would do what he's doing now? Confidence is huge with pitching and so is facing a pitcher every 9th batter.

So when the organization told him to stop throwing one of his best pitches (cutter), what do you think that did to Arrieta's confidence?

The Orioles organization does not have the track record of developing pitchers to be telling anyone they shouldn't throw a certain pitch, or pitch from a specific side of the mound - especially if it takes the player out of his comfort zone. It's stupid

Exactly. Chicago told him to pitch how you know how and he became a Cy winner.
