How far away is Gallardo from returning? Say what you want about the guy but they badly need him back in the rotation. You can't have a 3-4-5 of Wilson, Wright and Ubaldo and expect to stay in contention.

Sorry, look at his ERA. Went up every single year he was an Oriole. They obviously kept him as long as they did knowing he had the stuff, but what indication was there he would do what he's doing now? Confidence is huge with pitching and so is facing a pitcher every 9th batter.

He probably feels more comfortable with it? It's not like he's never had success with it. I don't know if something about the new delivery bothers him physically, etc.
