EVERYONE chasing us has a much more favorable schedule than the O's. We are most likely not going to squeak in

with average play. We are going to have to play very well in September.

Those Astros and A's series really hurt.

Seattle seems to be blowing leads alot lately. Blew another lead yesterday. Three in about seven games. Four games back and might be fading. Orioles can almost finish the Yankees this weekend.looks like the challengers are Astros,Royals and Tigers.

I don't think Seattle is the club that most folks are worried about. The Royals and Tigers are the most significant threats. They have 6 games left against each other, for the record.

Mariners looked cooked. Orioles could also finish off the Yankees but probably won't. Tigers pitching has been good lately. Astros have good young talent. KC was playing real well but did lose 2 of three to the Yankees at home. They have a real good home record.

Mariners have the easiest schedule but are farthest back. They blew three games with big leads in the last week or so. 16 of their last 29 are against the Angels,A'a and Twins. Tigers have the best starting AL ERA since the All -Star break. Astros have to play 13 straight games against the Rangers,Indians and Cubs. Do the Yankees come back to earth? Probably. Do the Royals stay on a pretty good run?
