At some point you have to just admit that this Red Sox team is better than we are in pretty much any phase.They can beat you with walks, singles, Home Runs, and of course they have much better pitching. They have Price, a 20 game winner in Porcello, plus Pomeranz,Eduardo and theyd have Wright too if he werent injured. This is a WORLD SERIES team. We probably wont even make the playoffs.

In describing BOS's strengths, you left out the bullpen, and with good reason: it's been bad. If you can stay close to the RS, you can beat them in the late innings. The RS also lack depth in their starters. Finally, their offense has disappeared en masse for games at a time, for no apparent reason.

Having said that, I agree that the RS and Jays have more talent than we do (I think the Jays probably have more, or at least betytetr balance, than the RS). But we've hung with them for 140+ games. Why is it so obvious that we can't outplay them in the last 20?
