It made a heck of a lot more sense 1st and 2nd with 0 out than just Hardy on 1st and Kim up. I am still livid that Buck elected to bunt Bourn over letting Kim hit a RHP.

Yes.

We got lucky on Hardy's bunt too. Why bunt the team's hottest hitter? Let him hit w speed on 1st to possibly get 1st to 3rd.

I've seriously lost all faith that Buck is the man to take us to the promised land.

All hyperbole and joking aside, I know have serious doubts he will ever be able to out manage the top skippers in the game in a 7 game series.

You can call me reactionary or not a real fan or whatever else you want but the decisions he's made tonight have all had negative outcomes. Every single one.

He's too loyal and inflexible, you have to pinch hit Mancini for Davis, you have to send Stubbs, you have to pinch run for JJ earlier, the list goes on and on.

What manager is going to pinch hit a guy with like 6 at bats for Davis there? I didn't realize Buck was the third base coach too.

A rookie who's on fire for a veteran who couldn't hit a softball.

The amount of money in his contract is meaningless when the season is on the line.

Buck gets paid to make hard decisions and for whatever reason he won't do it.

Buck has had bad night, no manager makes that move sorry. Not gonna happen.

I get putting Stubbs on 3rd with 1 out. Most of the time your best hitter gets a fly ball. I would be curious to see what the models say your run expectancy is 1st and 3rd, 1 out vs 1st and 2nd, 0 out.
