I think the logic I am presenting is too much for you to refute. -
Both their club option years were basically double their ‘24 salary. The Orioles would need to do the same for Mullins. About $17 million ‘26 option. The only way the Orioles pick that up is if he has an outstanding season. If he were to have that outstanding season, he would be able to get a multiyear contract in free agency. So, the only upside for Mullins would be a free $1 million if he underperforms. -

This is a pretty dumb statement. Mullins’ OBP was .305 each of the last two years. Meanwhile the Orioles scored the fourth most runs in all of baseball in 2024. You seem to lack an understanding of how runs are scored. -
O'Hearn and Coulombe will both have jobs in the majors in 2025 with or without the O's. Mullins is a platoon CF. Mullins had 444 AB in 2024. O'Hearn did 443 AB in 2024.
