Lew Ford batted .375 that series, and had the only RBI for the Orioles in the decisive Game 5.

If only we had more guys like Flaherty and Ford in that series.

I wish him well, but would have been unhappy if he returned. The O's gave him a break with the Rule V draft (as I recall). He seemed to excel against the BoSox. I just like to see some new faces on the team.

Billy Martin once said that he would put Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito in his lineup if he thought that they could execute the double steal and hit sacrifice-fly balls.

If he could have them in his lineup, then I could deal with having the dastardly Lew Ford in ours.
