The supposed new leadership of the O's should find some way to ease Davis out of the lineup. He has been doing WORSE than before the earlier spell on the bench he was given. How long is this going to be tolerated?? Batting fifth yet despite one hit and a walk in his last 17 ABs. They swallowed the pill on Tillman, now do it with Crushed.

Not completely true. His OPS bottomed out at about .450 but it's still above .500. I wouldn't say worse than before.

I am surprised people are not impressed with the more than 10% jump in OPS.  I think they are on to something.  I'd sit him 8 games again...they may be able to get him about .550 OPS.

I hate seeing him in the lineup, and in the meat of the order as well.

But if -- I say IF -- they have decided to give him the rest of the season to figure out what he is capable of doing, and IF they then will bite the bullet and cut him if he is still in the .150/.200/.300 area -- then I will gladly suffer through him batting 5th vs RHPs and 7th vs LHPs the rest of the year.

Give him every opportunity to figure out if there's ANYTHING left in the tank, and if there isn't -- bite the bullet this offseason.
