I send Sardinas packing. He can't play defense and he's not going to hit much. Vielma can at least defend. He can ride the bench until more moves are made.

Ah, a real utility player. Like Flaherty. It's almost as if we should have more properly addressed this need in the offseason instead of hoping Danny Valencia can magically play 1B, 3B, and COF.

heard Buck was not too happy they did not pick up either Goins or Flaherty. when they could have. He was not too thrilled with his middle infield depth.

Actually, no. The only reason Vielma is up now is to take the place of Beckham being DL'ed. With Peterson coming, one of the two will have to go to make room on the 25.

I don't think Valencia was looked at for his glove.  In fact, he should have a ceremony, bury it, and never speak of it again.

But you're right, without the extra IF depth, we were forced to put him out there in the field, and... well, it wasn't pretty.
