I think it hit right at the gates, then of course bounced way out there.

I actually could see why the ump "missed the call". Polanco did slide into Ramon's knee guard, so they were at the plate at the same time. The ump never thought Polanco hit the plate. Looking at it in slow motion you could see he was safe. In regular speed, you would think he was safe, however we didn't see it from the exact angle of the ump either.
