Evan Phillips deserves a bullpen spot

This guy does not get talked about much but all he does is put up zeros.  He has now pitched 9.2 scoreless innings in ST and struck out 10.   The 24 year old from Salisbury had a very good season at AAA last season.  He pitched 51.1 innings and only allowed 34 hits while striking 72 and putting up at 2.28 ERA.  He came to the O's in the Gausman deal.

This guys needs to be in the O's pen.  He has earned it.

We’ll probably see him later in the season if he keeps performing well.   Maybe 17 days after the season starts, when Araujo escapes Rule 15 status.

Meh. Stick to the plan. The roster will get weeded out as we go this season and guys like Phillips will bubble to the surface if they continue to play well in the minors.
