Eshelman enetered the game at the beginning of the 2nd inning, supplanting opener Jimmy Yacabonis.

He pitched reasonably well for 5 innings, dancing in and out of trouble on a couple of occasions, then ceded back-to-back home runs in his 6th inning of work without recording any additional outs.
