I was at the Akron/Bowie game last night, and Basallo was doing something I've never seen a catcher do before. He'd give the pitcher a target with his glove, then drop his glove to the dirt, then bring it back up to catch the ball. He failed to catch a few pitches cleanly and that seemed to me to be the reason why. I'm no expert on playing catcher, so maybe someone who is can tell me if there's a good reason to do that? Just seems to me it makes it harder for the pitcher to hit his spots and harder to catch the ball. -

Precisely, Eflin is someone the O’s absolutely needed as a starter they can count on to be solid every 5th day. When you need to add 2 starters Eflin is perfectly fine as one of them but he ain’t Skubal. (Stating the obvious) Would I love to see Skubal here as a true difference maker; of course. With that being said who knows what the Tigers price is and Elias can’t wait till the last moment like last year trade deadline. Whether it’s Fedde or Kikuchi etc etc I expect Elias to try hard to land another starter and my goodness we need some trustworthy relievers. -

The clubhouse issue would have been a lot better if the next two starters were Bradish and Means were starting next two games. -

Yes, Pacheco is definitely going to.have to.come for Kjerstad or a Stowers or a Norby (if they try him there) late.
