Only had 104 pitches... Cabrera, Guthrie ,Olson would have had a chance to finish.

I'm not pissed about it ... But IMO he should have went out... If he allows a hit or BB then pull him. But he ptched a great game. Unless he said he was tired then why not give him a chance to finish?

Waters performance reminds me of Tom Phoebus who pitched shutouts in his first two starts for the Orioles in 1966. Let's see now if Waters can match Baltimore-native Phoebus.

It was only a three run game.

The kid just pitched his ass off. Why not turn it over to the bullpen? He was in uncharted territory and there was no reason to push him any longer.
