They should still be the Expos, man!!  In a fair and just world the Orioles would have exclusive right to the territory from the Philly city limits to Atlanta and from the Delaware shore to Cincy for all time.

It would give the Orioles a fair chance against Big Markets.

I'm over it, weams.  Over it.

We continue to whine about not being in a big market...excuse me...Big Market...meanwhile the Rays are on the brink of eliminating the Astros.  And the Rays play in the same division we do.  And go head to head with the Big Markets as often as we do.

Sure, it's easier for the Big Markets but whatever.  And I know we like each other so you're not taking this as a personal attack but...I'm just tired of market size being used as an excuse.  Hinderance, sure, I'll buy that.  But Tampa plays in an inferior market in an inferior stadium with an inferior sized fanbase.  And yet here they are.

It would also help if they moved the Phillies to Austin, the Pirates to Portland, and forced every man, woman, and child in Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware and Maryland to pay $6 a month to MASN.  Who cares what actual people want, it's all about making the Orioles more competitive and profitable.

Other than jealousy and the Baltimore inferiority complex, why?

I didn't like them when they were the Senators (SeGnators), either, and we kicked their asses more often than not. I lived in the DC area for about eight years and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've simply chosen the Gnats as the team I wish to hate. Call it a rivalry. Yeah, that's the ticket.

The Orioles payroll in 2018 was almost $142M, 11th overall, which bought them 47 wins.

But if not for the Nats the Orioles payroll might have been $175M, which... doing the math... works out to 58 wins.  The @#*$@#$( Nats cost us a #@$*( 58-win season, those @#$#$%$ers!!!

It didn't take the Nats 10 years.  They were done rebuilding in 2012.  Everything since then has been maintenance.

Thanks Drungo for this important and insightful clarification that the Nats were done rebuilding in 2012.  And that it didn't take 10 years.

They moved over here in 2005 so it only took them EIGHT years.

I feel much better now!   :)

I only count three lol

The AL East has sent a team in the WC just about every year.  Every team in the division has won a playoff round (WC or series) in the last five years.   I don't think any other division can claim that.
