But we have so many infielders it seems very unlikely we have any interest in him.

Very odd that Padres would sign two infielders named Beckham to minor league deals in about 24 hours.  But if Heyman is correct, that's what they did.

Shows what an echo chamber Twitter can be.   See the tweet above from @PadreBall ... they took it and ran with it and they COVER the Padres.   I was on twitter about an hour ago and there were tons of tweets about Tim Beckham signing with the Padres, probably all due to Heyman's initial mistake.

I looked at news on Tim Beckham and there was nothing about him signing with Padres.  Tons of stuff about the other Beckham signing though.
