Highlights:

   -- This covers both TV broadcasts on MASN, radio broadcasts, pre-and-postgame, and possibly social media too.  So except in a few cases, specific roles are undefined or are a bit vague.

   -- Gary Thorne back on TV

   -- Kevin Brown back on radio

   -- Scott Garceau joins the team in some capacity.   (For those outside of Baltimore, he has been a sports anchor on a local station for 40 years, served as radio play by play man for the Ravens for many years, was involved in Orioles' TV broadcasts back in the 80s, and has the afternoon drivetime sports talk show on 105.7).

   -- Melanie Newman joins the Orioles from the A league Salem Red Sox, where she was their lead broadcaster. 

   -- Frederick Keys announcer Geoff Arnold joins the team.

   -- Jim Palmer, Mike Bordick, Ben McDonald, and Brian Roberts will be back as analysts on both radio and TV

   -- Gregg Olson will be back as an analyst on radio broadcasts.

   -- Rick Dempsey will continue to host O's Xtra pre/postgame show on MASN.

   -- Dave Johnson will be back for "selected appearances."

   -- Rob Long will also host some O's Xtra (as he did last year on weekends)

   -- Jim Hunter and Tom Davis will have "new roles" as regular on-air contributors

   -- Roch Kubatko and Steve Melewski will continue to contribute across platforms, and Melewski will continue to hose the post-postgame show weeknights on the flagship station 105.7 as he has in the past.

   -- Paul Mancano will host MASN All Acess, the digital show available on Facebook Live, as well as appearing across the other plateforms.

I actually don't mind Hunter on the radio.  

Give me Palmer and Thorne all day.  

Kind of insulted by the fact that they're using this press release to say that it's a "diverse" team.  As someone who doesn't care if my baseball broadcast teams are "diverse" just because you're including a woman here doesn't make it so.  Don't pee on my shoes and tell me it's raining.

I think he did not fare well on the Orioles Feedback Surveys some were selected to share.

The previous post was facts gleaned from the press release.   My GUESS is that Hunter has been demoted from being the fill-in play by play guy when Gary is on vacation, hence his "new roles".   I'll bet Garceau takes over that job.   His "new roles" will probably include still being master of ceremonies for pregame stuff.  

Seems like Dave Johnson and Tom Davis also will play lesser roles, maybe Tom wants to wind down a bit, he's definitely over 70.

I'm guessing that one of the two newcomers from A ball (Melanie Newman or Geoff Arnold) will take Davis's old role on the postgame show with Demper.   One could also be a sideline reporter.   Remember the Orioles tried a sideline reporter for the first time last year and she left midseason to take a national job.   I can't even remember her name but she was definitely attractive.

The press release makes no mention of spring training broadcasts.   I can't ever remember a season when the first preseason game wasn't on the radio, but we are about 69 hours out and there is nothing about it on 105.7's web site.

That is my guess, after laying out the facts in my first post I put some opinions in a second post.   I'm guessing Garceau gets his old TV role.

In all seriousness I agree with Moose.  I think Hunter is quite good on the radio actually.   But annoying on TV for whatever reason.

I like Garceau though, so I'm sure he will be a good addition.
