But I keep forgetting ........ all of those doubleheaders will be 7-inning games, hence this particular challenge that faces the Cardinals is not necessarily quite as monumental as it may seem at first glance.

Or, since it's a big star and not some young guy, will he get a pass?

Full disclosure, he's already tested positive and is now cleared.

The COVID-laden 2020 St. Louis Cardinals had their season shut down for 17 days in July and August ...... that's a lot of games to make up for a 162-game season, but for a 60-game season played in a span of 70 days, that might seem close to impossible. But the Cardinals not only finished the season, they also qualified for the 2020 Major League post-season tournament. In the process of doing so they played 53 games in only 44 days, which included 11 doubleheaders. 7 of their players had tested positive for the virus just prior to the shutdown. And through it all, they found a way to win more games than they lost to reach the National League playoffs.
