I love Buck, but he would not have done this this early. Credit to Melvin.

It's not the same thing.

Buck would have probably had a quicker hook, if the player hadn't been there and done the job for him for the previous two seasons, leading the league in saves.

If Melvin had JJ around for the previous two seasons, I suspect he would give him more rope to see if he was just in a funk.

MARK REYNOLDS hit a 2-run home run in the top of the 9th inning to give the Brewers a couple of insurance runs in their 9-4 win over the Phillies.

It was Reynolds' 2nd round-tripper of the season, and his Brewers are off to a solid 6-2 start, including a sweep of the Red Sox in Fenway Park.
