Bringing to bear my boundless medical ignorance, I would think that if all goes well Trey will mainly be a DH  in  '21, with occasional, less-than-full-game stints at 1B. I wouldn't expect to see him in the OF except as an emergency replacement.

This is what I was thinking originally: Little to no innings in the outfield. Forces Mountcastle or somebody to the outfield or (an infielder) off the roster.

Well we also have no evidence he can be an OF. 

I am more talking in general about being open minded on bad teams trying things out.
