What a boring offseason!

I haven't paid too much attention outside of the O's.

I saw the Lindor trade and few smaller things, has there really been much excitement for the entire MLB offseason?

Not that the O's can't do more, just seems pretty quiet so far (and again I could just be ignoring the other stuff).

Yu Darvish also got traded to the Padres.

Yu Darvish trade grades: Padres get another 'A' and another ace; Cubs start sell-off with low marks

Quote

On Monday night, the San Diego Padresand the Chicago Cubsagreed to a seven-player tradethat will ship right-hander Yu Darvish, personal catcher Victor Caratini, and cash considerations to the west coast in exchange for right-hander Zach Daviesand four prospects: outfielders Owen Caissie and Ismael Menaand shortstops Reginald Preciadoand Yeison Santana.

Darvish's arrival in San Diego comes less than 24 hours after the Padres agreed to trade for Tampa Bay Raysleft-hander Blake Snell. It also comes a month and a half after the 34-year-old Darvish finished second in National League Cy Young Award voting (behind free agent Trevor Bauer), following a season in which he started 12 times and posted career-bests in ERA+ (221) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.64).

The Padres have been extremely aggressive with trades and signings. Snell, Darvish (even trading for his personal catcher as well), Kim.

Fair, I did see Darvish and Kim (not Snell).  And the LeMathiu signing recently as well.

Even still that is basically just one busy team among 30.  It is something , so I won't argue that, just saying it's mostly quiet/boring even for many teams that aren't is the "$1 million and south" club.

That was a big one. I can’t think of one bigger since then. That offseason included new GM and Manager also.

I guess 03-04 is biggest one since then. Tejada, Lopez, Palmeiro plus new manager.

Man, I thought that was it, winning teams again for the foreseeable future.  Many more free agent contracts, with all the stars coming to play in orange and black.  A couple playoff runs, a few world series, wow it is incredible how naive I was back then and how little understanding of exactly how awful our pitching was.

I am very excited for the future now however and really enjoy watching this rebuild process, even as slow and boring it is and this winter is, but I agree with the OP, this off season has been incredibly boring!

Yeah. I don’t think Mazzilli was a good fit here either.

Mazzilli never felt like he was an Oriole and was just a New York guy that was assigned to manage the club. I was half expecting Mazzilli would make a heel turn and intentionally blow a pennant race game against the Yankees like when Hulk Hogan joined NWO in the WCW.

What about the 2019 Winter Warm-Up? That was about as exiting as I can recall in recent memory.
