Zimmerman will bring a fresh arm, while Valaika now gets a little more time.

Akin flashed enough last night I guess to keep his roster spot today.   Will he start the 4th or 5th game next week Friday or Saturday?   

As always I feel Jorge Lopez there might be a useful role, but pretty sure SP4 or SP5 is not it.

Yea, if they don't pick things up by the end of the season they can kiss that minor league deal next spring goodbye.

Urias never really got the everyday shot at 2B, but he's showed this year that he can't hit in a utility role. Not everyone get site fir days in a row then come in an be effective.

I'm very happy they finally optioned Urias. He couldn't hit anything and was an automatic out. Bye!!

Tremendous job by Zimmermann today.  His stuff looked so much more lively than in his previous couple of outings.

The bright side is that I’m seeing growth in Zimmerman and Kremer. Heck, even Lopez. I think the young pitchers will get better as the season goes on. On the same token, the slew of fringe IFs are failing and don’t look like there is much hope.

It’s hard enough to enter a game and throw nearly six innings of one run ball. But to do it against a Yankees line-up that just torched your opener is even more impressive.
