Game Notes

• The Orioles losing streak is at 18, longest in the majors this year.  The longest in club history is the 0-21 streak to start the 1988 season.
• This is Dylan Bundy's first appearance against the only other team he ever played for.  Dylan has allowed 19 HRs in 89 innings for the Angels this year.   Dylan is 2-9 with a 6.04 ERA.   It is a very hot night tonight.  Pitching on a similar not night in New York a few weeks ago, Bundy got ill and lost his pregame meal in front of the mound.
• Other former Orioles on the Angels:  Alex Cobb is currently on the IL.   He is 7-3 with a 3.82 ERA.   Jose Iglesias is hitting .259/.293/.373/.666.  His shortstop defensive metrics this year with the Angels are the worst of his career, well below his normal high standards.  Dexter Fowler, who was almost an Oriole, is on the IL for the Angels as well.
• From Frobby:  the Orioles are hitting .143/.205/.200/.405 with runners in scoring position in August.
• From Roch:  the Orioles have been outscored 149-47 during the streak.
• The Orioles are 23-69 since John Means' no hitter.
• Jahmai Jones makes his Orioles debut tonight vs his former team, batting 8th and playing 2nd.  He is wearing #37, last worn by Dylan Bundy whom he will bat against tonight.

Bundy has been moved to the pen where they worked on shortening his arm action. I saw the start vs Texas and it was noticeable. He’s had mixed results since returning to the rotation with his longest outing of 6.1 IP vs the Rangers. Since July 29 he’s allowed 9 earned runs over 19.1 IP.
