Akin's pitching and Severino's catching both looked good that inning.

 Five innings in, and we are being no hit. Aikin is at 72 pitches. Last week he threw 92 pitches in seven innings, I’m not sure he’s going to get through two more. But he does seem to be doing well.

I remember one of the writers referred to Bartolo Colon as the only pitcher in major-league baseball who looked “as if he had swallowed another human being whole.”

Boy that still makes me laugh, but I remember David Wells being almost as solid.

 So Lopez is warming. A whole lot of been people have been suggesting the two of these guys as piggyback Pitchers.

It’s good that the manager is finally paying attention to a little bit of common sense.

So glad he got a hit. I would have seriously turned it off if they got to the 7th with a no-hitter.
