If he continues hitting the way he is right now, he will do better than 1/$10 mm.   A lot can change between now and the end of the year.   

My view is we have to look to trade him, but we should only pull the trigger if the return includes someone we think has a decent chance to be a contributor to a future team.  We shouldn’t just give him away for salary relief and a lottery ticket.  He’s meant too much to the club and the fans (and still does) for that.

2nd in hits (61)

3rd in OBP (.374)

3rd in Avg. (.303)

I sort of agree, but if we trade him to a contender it gives him a chance to play deep into the playoffs.  I'm sure Trey would like that.
