When I think about the relatively few 5 game regular season series in Orioles history, the one that comes to mind most for me is the one with the Yankees in August, 1980.   We drew over 250,000 fans to Memorial Stadium for the 5 games, and as I recall 4 of them were quite close.   It was an intense playoff level atmosphere and the Orioles won 3 of 5.   We wound up winning 100 games that year but failing to make the playoffs.   Scott McGregor out-duelled Luis Tiant 1-0 in one of the games.   The only one I attended was a game the O's lost, I remember Gossage nailing down the save.
