Scott Garceau is not my cup of tea (Moderator edit)

Scott Garceau is our present Rick Dempsey.  He's a nice guy, classy, well-liked, but he's not a booth guy.  He's Dennis Miller on MNF.  Great, but when he's not there.

I love Scott as a sports radio host, but he's really not the right fit for PBP. That's about as nice as I can be about it.

When you have 4 or 5 announcers not everyone of them is going to be as good as Chuck Thompson or John Miller.  My father used to complain about Bill O'Donnell the same way everyone here complains about Scott and Melanie. etc.  Same when Fred Manfra was here or Bill Marr.  By comparison most are going to sound worse.  I think Kevin Brown and Geoff Arnold are real good and I think we are fortunate.  I think our two main color guys in Jim Palmer and Ben McDonald are real good as well.

Garceau was so clueless on Wednesday that he said Cedric Mullins has 3 balls.  This was Mullins at-bat right after the Chirinos homerun.  Someone must have caught it too because later in the game he said "has a 2 ball count"  LOL!

I really did not care for him but at least he could accurately describe what was happening on the field.

Excuse my ignorance, but why did the Os every move on from Gary anyways?

Yes, me too.  Hunter was actually better on radio than on TV.
