Odor taking grounders at 3b

We all know Odor has blackmail pictures on Elias or something, so I wonder if they're thinking about sending Nevin back down? Vavra doesn't really have the arm for the left side, so this might be a way to get them more cover at multiple spots

Odor is transitioning into a Util role. Sounds like Stowers will be up. 
 

The year is what it is. Gotta dance with girl you came with. Stowers would out OPS Gunnar. He’s already doing it in AAA, sans Gunnar’s hot stretch.

Good, let Vavra start at 2B and Odor can act as the UTIL IF. That allows him to stay on the roster and keep serving as the cheerleader/dugout mascot without giving away so many ABs to opposing pitchers.

Odor pretty much shut down 3B talk in spring training letting it be known he was “uncomfortable” there.   Lots of big names around MLB being DFA’d since the deadline.  Vavra breaks in hot.  Odor sees a need to become “comfortable”.

He doesn’t need to become comfortable.  He needs to become gone.

Urias can play all over the IF.  We don’t need another one.

Bring up Gunnar, a player who is actually good and put him at third and let him go.  The square peg, round hole bs needs to end.

Are the O's trying to turn Odor into a super utility player?  He can play lousy defense at any position?  Will have to make sure I watch the game the O's play Odor at 3rd, it could be laughably bad.

You do realize Odor got a ton of time playing 3b for a playoff-bound NYY team last year, right?  What do you think he's going to do?  Throw the ball into Lf?

The idea that they are trying to find other ways to get this poor baseball player on the field, when you have several better options, is horrible.

He's bad enough at "his" position.  Not really trying to imagine what him being uncomfortable at a position would look like.  Probably like Mancini almost getting hurt running into an outfield wall.  Yep, but at least we could call Mancini an outfielder.

I don't have any problem with trying Odor at 3B -- as long as he doesn't bat. (I was going to say "as long as he doesn't hit," but he's got that covered whether or not he's in the lineup.)
