Fans take loses worst then the actual players and don’t panic or worry about losing one game that is part of the reason many are professional players they can put it in the past.  If we lost the second game last night people would be crying how now we lost the series because we have Verlander today and no way we can beat him and win the series,

Just saying.. 2/3 is great.. a sweep would have been better and was right there for the taking.  Yes, you can’t win them all, but getting in playoffs requires many improbable wins. And we didn’t of course beat Verlander lol

But you are right, fortunately, they are professionals and not a fan like me lol

Good question.  Can't really say I care too much about giving up the DH when I'm the away team down by two in the 8th, trying to get some runs off the Astros bullpen.

Down by two with no one on is probably not the time to pull the catcher knowing you will lose the DH.

Our 6 game Minute Maid Park winning streak is in serious jeopardy.

At least we have our best onbase guy due first, our best home run hitter due 2nd, and 3 guys who can get a hold of one once in a while to follow.

Need to hold them here in the 8th.

Agree to disagree.  Losing the DH doesn't matter if we can't tie the game, and we are rapidly running out of outs to do so.  Besides, we have we have several pinch hitters on the bench.

Well so much for holding them.

Yes, if he had to catch this inning for Chirinos the pitcher would have to hit for him.

No, that's now how it works.   If we hit for Chirinos, Adley would move from DH to catcher but would still be batting.   The pitcher would be in Chirinos's spot.

Dodgers have more guys than the Orioles in the top 100 and without the benefit of any number 1-1 picks.

Almost as if they had developed a formula that allows them to put an exceptional team on the field every year, contending for championships, and making as much money as they can.

We have a better chance to tie the game with Adley and Chirinos than Stowers and a pitcher, plus I don't think Adley is allowed to catch today.
