Maybe he was looking over there, because they were running their mouths from the dugout for three straight games.  I repeat: I've never heard a ML bench chirp like theirs has the past two days.

Part of me almost wishes that Baker would have done the binoculars :)

But the angel on my shoulder says “no”.

Of course he'll tell them to knock it off and go win ballgames.

But the Manager of the Year, 99% of the time, goes to the manager of the team that most over-achieved. Even if the O's collapse the rest of the way they're guaranteed to improve by 25 games or so, I'm not sure how any other manager gets a first place vote.

Connelly had a piece in the Athletic about how Hyde had it already won the award. He outlined your argument well. I think Hyde will win it as well, given the turnaround. My point is that this situation, and the Orioles subsequent response to it, will reflect on the quality of the leadership in the clubhouse. Hopefully Hyde really is a very good and level-headed leader. All signs point to that being the case, but ya never know....

Gausman should have gotten tossed yesterday. Instead he was allowed to curse out the ump on a pitch call, strut around and get "restrained," and win subsequent calls and the game.

Gausman didnt play that game, when he played for Buck.

Granted pitchers have no love for umps and their strike zone, but, to take it to that level, is very sad.

Anyone else here think Vlad Jr is a fake tough guy?  The type of dude that's all aggressive as long as some of his buddies are holding him back?

Him and Hernandez! Mateo is so strong he’s holding them both back at one point. What a joke.

I will be surprised if Manoah doesn't throw at or come very up and in on one or more Orioles tomorrow.  Orioles are going to react predictably.  Not supporting it, but the O's are tired of the Blue Jays' ish.

Manoah intentionally drilled Maikel Franco last year (after the O's hit 4 HR's against him) and got suspended. I don't think he would risk that again with his team in the wild card chase.

Maybe that is why Wells is starting.  Let him be prepared to throw at someone if necessary and then Kremer is ready to step in behind him  😂

The Angels did that when they had their brawl against the Mariners. Phil Nevin purposely started an ineffective opener so it wouldn't hurt them when he got ejected.
