It will make that much sweeter when one of your teams win it all. If the O’s won the World Series, I’d go into a catatonic state.

I think Elias gets one for the Orioles.  As much as I find fault with some of his moves I actually do get the feeling he is the smartest guy in the room in almost every room he enters.   I think he is young and very motivated to do it.   I think he does in the next five years.

I grew up a Colts and Cowboys fan (getting that electric football set the year after their Super Bowl clash didn't hurt when I was 10), but I always admired Bud Grant. And a great running back from my college, Ted Brown, was in their backfield for awhile. And dug their defensive line of the late 60s and into the 70s.

I have faith Elias too, but the baseball playoffs are always a complete crapshoot. I think Elias has what it takes to get the Orioles in position to have a chance by getting into the playoffs. 

The issue for the last 29 years has been ownership, and will they stay out of the way and let the baseball people do their jobs.

The runner is not forced to advance.  Where do those unwritten rules take over in a blowout game when you just advance one base at a time?
