Was listening to MLb radio a little while ago and they had the Indians GM on.  He said that most teams are working on free agents right now and there isn’t a lot of trade talk out there.  He anticipated that to pick up soon.

Never would have thought he would get that much but I guess it’s right there with Suzuki’s deal last year.

He better hit and get on base because apparently he doesn’t have great speed and the defense isn’t that good.

Bogaerts to San Diego, 11/$275 million.

Not sad to see him go, hopefully Boston does something really dumb to compensate, like sign Swanson to a huge long-term deal.

Sounds like the Sox are hoping for Santander w/o the power.  Massive overpay, but we'll see

Teams seem to have forgot that we are in the post steroid era, and now players have normal decline phases in their 30's.  San Diego better hope they win big in the next few years.  The back end of their contracts is going to be really bad.

I think they are expecting a rather higher OBP than the 300 Santander carries.
