His swing is bizarre...but I guess do what works best for you.

He seems so awkward in his mechanics and movement (even as he waited for the ball to go out as he trotted/pranced? up the baseline), I'd love to see him on a wedding dance floor, I believe it would be a sight to behold.

Beavers, currently at .813 OPS with a 7:11 walk:striking in July with a 1.328 OPS.   He’s 17 months younger than Cowser and about where Cowser was at this time last year.  Cowser did 62 games at Aberdeen and Beavers is at 75.   A promotion to Bowie could be soon.   I’m hoping and thinking that Beavers might be the same kind of top 50 prospect.   He might even be a little more tooled up than Cowser in speed/power/arm.

Cowser is more like a top 15 prospect at this point, so Beavers has his work cut out for him to catch up to that. It'll definitely be interesting to see if he can take off once he gets out of Aberdeen, the way Cowser did. I can't help but feel that his future lays in another org though.

Agreed, and with all the college players we drafted there has to be a ripple effect as guys who are too advanced for the FCL move up.

5 outfielders and non of them should finish the year in the FCL.   Delmarva is the natural, eventual, landing spot for all 5 but maybe they push Bradfield and Horvath all the way to Aberdeen to get all 5 some consistent outfield time.

Both Fabian and Beavers saw time in Aberdeen last year, though both played at Delmarva first.  I’m gueasing everyone starts at Delmarva (after a few days in the FCL) and maybe Bradfiekd and Horvath move to Aberdeen after a couple of weeks if things are going well.

I’m pretty excited about what Beavers is doing.   He’s close to the age of a lot of college players drafted this year.    As impressive as Cowsers ascension was, I think Beavers has a chance to be in the same class or better.   Let’s see if he can take AA by storm like Cowser did.

Nice to see him get moved up. He struggled early in the season but has really turned it on.

I know  there was some talk around when he was drafted about working on his swing. I wonder if that was why he struggled at first?  Don’t believe we have heard any reports on that?
