They've been trying to get the city of Oakland to pay for a new stadium for years now.  Local voters aren't interested in doing so.  And we all know how interested teams are in funding their own stadiums when they can simply get the taxpayers to fund most of it instead.

So the A's sit and stagnate, neither side moves, and the A's attendance is dropping through the floor.  Feels like the only way out of the stalemate is a team move to an interested city.

I will try to find the article. They raised ticket prices and concessions  the last two years to piss off their 3,000 fans.

The only thing, the ONLY thing that could have made that Mountcastle grand slam any better would have been Palmer reminding everyone that he never gave one up. That kills me every time.
