Didnt the Orioles bring up some guy in 2021 who was a career minor leaguer who was a knuckleballer.  Brought him up for one game.  He got shelled and send down right after the game.

But he also is forever a Major Leaguer.

I think you mean Mickey Jannis?  33 years old for his debut, 3.1 innings is all he got.

Looks like the Pirates did this purely to reward a guy who put in many years of minor league service.
