For once it would be nice to watch a game and read/make comments about it without ridiculous overreaction, but I guess this just isn’t the place for that.
 

5 innings of 2 run ball vs the Blue Jays is good for any pitcher let alone a rookie making his tenth start or whatever the number is. He made one friggin’ mistake. 

Sometimes I wonder if people have ever seen or heard of a non-Orioles MLB game. Jameson Taillon, a veteran that people wanted to sign, is down 6-0 to the Phillies after one inning. Eric Lauer on a pretty good Brewers staff has given up 4 earned runs in 2 innings. Kyle Freeland is the best pitcher on his staff and gave up 3 earned runs in the first inning. But sure, this start by Rodriguez is egregious.

Kind of odd I think to take him out there.   Only at 85 pitches and just struck out Frazier.  And facing Gunnar.....who is not exactly hot.  I kind of would of let him stay out there.

To be honest, Mountcastle's reaction was probably annoying for Toronto. Up 0-2, tie game, go ahead run on first base. Why would he plunk him? Mounty honestly needs to just take the base.

Because he's a Toronto d-bag who has a history of hitting batters on purpose.   And while Ryan is 0-for-today his history vs Toronto makes him public enemy #1 there.

Could have just meant to back him off the plate and missed even worse than he intended to. Monoah seems like a jerk and Mountcastle has probably rustled their feathers. Conjecture of course.
